Dr G.C. Dry started his corporate career with Eskom (Electrical Supply Company South Africa) where he spent 19 years of his working life. His career started in industrial engineering and he was promoted through the ranks to Engineering Projects Executive, responsible for building power stations, transmission lines, substations, facilities and life extension projects.
In 1991, he joined Amalgamated Banks of South Africa (Absa) as a group executive and retired from Absa Group as Managing Executive: Real Estate Asset Management in October 2004. He served two terms as the President of Wildlife Ranching South Africa (WRSA), was the director of Diluculo Investments and Chairman of Absa DevCo, and served as a Board Member for SA National Parks Board and University of Pretoria Veterinary Faculty. Dr Dry is a Wildlife Rancher in the Vaalwater District, Limpopo, South Africa.
